The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts today announced globally renowned flutist Sir James Galway will be joined by his wife, flutist Lady Jeanne Galway, at the Monday, March 25, performance of the Center’s popular Regional Arts Classical Concert Series. The pair has not performed at the Kravis Center since 2011, and the week after St. Patrick’s Day is perfect timing for their musical return.

Rev. Elder Tony Freeman, Interim Senior Pastor of the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beach Gardens (MCCPB), today announced that the largest faith-based community in Palm Beach County dedicated to serving the local LGBT community and its family members and friends, will be hosting its annual Rainbow Ball on Saturday, April 6. This is MCCPB’s largest gala fundraiser, a “fun-filled evening of dancing and dining, entertainment and socializing.”

A drama about an acting troupe performing a controversial play and a world premiere musical about life in Cuba past and present garnered the most nominations for the 43rd annual Carbonell Awards, which honor excellence in theater in South Florida. Indecent, produced by Palm Beach Dramaworks in West Palm Beach, earned nine nominations, and Havana Music Hall, produced by Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre in Coral Gables, earned seven.
