DORAL ACADEMY PREPARATORY HIGH SCHOOL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS

Thank you for your interest in our music program. We are very committed to Arts Education and the nurturing of your talents. Every prospective student must complete a live audition at the school. There are also several guidelines music students must follow and required subjects they must enroll in during the academic year.
Every student that enters the program is required to form part of the Performing ensemble of their discipline (Firebird Singers, Drumline, Advanced Keyboard, Band, Orchestra), on a yearly basis. This will be the inaugural year for the instrumental program incorporating instruments of the the Band and Orchestra.
To set-up your audition you must contact the school, either in person or by phone.
The school has received an A+ grade Five years consecutively. We Currently have three music teachers on Staff and 12 performing arts teachers for the other strands of the Performing arts.

Press Release
The Delray Beach Chorale is currently looking to expand our Young Artists and Apprentice programs.
It is preferred that Young Artisis have a Bachelor's degree or higher in vocal music and/or music education and be prepared to serve as section leaders, soloists, and possibly give voice lessons to our apprentices. Compensation is good and comparable to other performing groups.
Apprentices are high school or undergraduate students who are enthusiastic about singing and eager to participate in a high level choral ensemble. Free vocal lessons are offered to apprentices by our highly qualified and experienced Young Artists. Multiple recital opportunities are available for both young artists and apprentices and all Concerts are sponsored by the Delray Beach Chorale.

Delray Beach Chorale Auditions
The Delray Beach Chorale, celebrating 30 years will hold auditions for the spring season for men and women who have some musical sight reading ability. Rehearsals begin Tuesday January 10, 2012. For information call 800 984 SATB (7282) or email Artistic Director Eric Keiper at ejk321@comcast.net.
Masterworks Chorus is having auditions
Do you like making beautiful music, hearing enthusiastic applause at the end of a performance, singing beloved choral masterpieces with other choristers, renowned soloists and having a professional orchestra as accompaniment?
If so, the Masterworks Chorus of the Palm Beaches may be for you. We meet weekly from September through April, giving at least three concerts per year, as well as other community singing opportunities. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday nights at the Palm Beach Atlantic University Chorus Room on the third floor of the Vera Lea Rinker Hall located at 326 Acacia Rd. WPB starting at 7:30 p.m. and lasting until 9:30 p.m.
The ability to sing on key, read music parts and pass a brief audition with our conductor for voice placement is all that's needed to get you started in the group of like-minded individuals. You'll enjoy the weekly camaraderie, the challenging music and the terrific feeling you get when you've done something well.
