Chimes of Freedom: Triumph of the American Spirit - FEB 13 @ 7:30pm

Inspired by the music and lyrics of Bob Dylan’s iconic song “Chimes of Freedom,” the FIU Wind Ensemble embarks on a musical journey honoring the plight of diverse people from adversity towards freedom. The 3rd installment of this concert series features music celebrating the triumph of the American spirit.

This unique concert will feature a side-by-side performance with students from Cutler Bay Middle School and a thrilling performance of Aaron Copland’s “Lincoln Portrait” with Florida NAACPPresident, Adora Obe Nweze as speaker.

February 13 at 8 pm: South Florida JAZZ presents the Antonio Adolfo-Hendrik Meurkens Brazilian Quartet. The concert is part of South Florida JAZZ's ongoing series bringing the best jazz to South Florida. The performance will be at the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center, 3100 Ray Ferrero, Jr. Boulevard in Davie. Featuring Antonio Adolfo, piano, Hendrik Meurkens, harmonica and vibraphone, Jamie Ousley, bass, and Carlomagno Araya, drums.

A special evening of romance with R&B artist, Howard Hewett and smooth jazz tenor saxophonist, Richard Elliott.


Sunday Afternoon Free Concert 2pm in Mangrove Hall at the Anne Kolb Nature Center presenting Rhythmie Wong, Winner of the 2015 Piano Academy Program. Program of Bach Prelude and Fugue C# Major, Beethoven Sonata "Les Adieux", Chopin Rondo Op. 16, Granados Valses Poeticos and Allegro de Concierto, Ravel Ondine and La Valse.
