The St. Petersburg Baroque Ensemble
One of Florida's best kept secrets! The St. Petersburg Baroque Ensemble's presentations are very dynamic, and artistically unique, varying on the configurations of the concert venue.
We use a rare combination of music instruments for our presentations, the Alto Recorder, Oboe, Cello, Harpsichord, Pipe Organ (where available), and Piano. Our musician was featured in the American Recorder Society Magazine, and "The Nathaniel Suite" was composed in his honor. www.frogmusic.com/mw.htm
Our concerts represent composers from the baroque era, to include Handel, Telemann, Quantz, Albinoni, Loeillet, Bach, and Vivaldi. Another period of music may be included in our presentations, and perhaps, a pleasant, artistic surprise, to educate our audience.
Past concerts have included ballet. Also, Marc-Antoine Charpentier’s "La Messe de Minuit Pour Noël", with our baroque chamber orchestra and choral ensemble.
A memorable pleasure to every audience, The St. Petersburg Baroque Ensemble was honored to provide music for The Department of Defense, a "Black Tie" affair, comprised of three hundred international dignitaries. The occasion was held at the Wyndham Hotel, and hosted by the United States Central Command, From MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.
The St. Petersburg Baroque Ensemble is available for concerts, special occasions, sacred services, and Artists in Residence.
